Patch Ali
'Jeff' is owned by Peter Rhodes and was a new addition to the team in 2018. In his first season with Melissa, he made a successful step up to Novice and International level, with placings at both Chilham Castle and Bicton CIC* and completed his first 3-day event at Hartpury. In 2019, Jeff earned a top ten finish in 8th place in the National Novice Championship at the Festival of BE. Despite a short 2020 season, he finished with an incredible double clear in his first ever 3*L at Thoresberton. In 2022, Jeff was crowned Champion of 2/3 legs of the Intermediate masters series - his biggest wins to date. He also completed Burgham and Barbury 4*S. Very exciting plans for Jeff this year and I am super excited to see his progress this year.
Prometheus
'Percy' is owned by Katy Wise. He is a Sports Pony Studbook ELITE graded stallion who joined MJEventing in April 2018. He started life show jumping but has now proven himself as a worthy event pony. In 2019 he made the successful step up to Novice and 2; winning x3 at Novice. He was awarded the SPSS Dancer medal for his outstanding competition achievements as a 6yo. In 2020 he won x2 novices before going on to achieve 4th place in the 2S at Wellington out of 124 and completed his first ever three day event in the 2L at Thoresberton. In 2021 he completed the British Novice Championship at Burgham International and was 3rd out of 97 at Cornbury International 2*S. In 2022 he was 4th in his first Open Intermediate and stepped up successfully to 3S.
Silver Venture
'Rio' is owned by the Venture syndicate, and joined the team at the beginning of 2019 as an unbroken 3yo. In her first year Eventing as a 6yo, she was placed top 10 in 4/5 occasions including double clear in both her first Novices. She completed her 6yo season with x3 runs at 2* including the 6yo National Championship at Osberton. In 2022, Rio successfully moved up to Intermediate and completed the 7yo 3* Championship. I am extremely excited to see how this mare progresses again this year.
Norma GII
'Norma' is owned by Denny Russell. She is a 7 year old grey mare currently competing at BE100 level. Norma is new to the team for 2023 and we are very excited to see her progress this year.
Bathleyhills Burglar Bill Mar
'James' is owned by Victoria Murrell. James had a successful 2021 where he had two wins and was never out the top ten. In 2022 he returned on form securing a 2nd and 4th in the Area Festival Championship. He finished the season with an amazing 3rd in his first ever BE100 3day event at Bicton with roads, tracks and steeplechase.
Ringfort Jack Sparrow
Owned by Jill & Arabella De Quincey Adams, Jack arrived in the Autumn of 2022. He won his first ever event at Pontispool finishing on his dressage score of 27.3.
